Welcome to the blog for “everyday electronics”, a final year atelier group which is running in 2008/09 for final year students on the BDes Product Design course at Napier University, Edinburgh.
I am Chris Hand, atelier leader, and I’m pleased to welcome the students taking part this year — Leighn Chambers, Ross Coffield, Angus Edwardson, Gavin Henderson, Lauren Plews, Michael Ross and Scott Tweeddale. We will be working together on both research dissertations and on the final-year major project.
One of the first things to do is to register on wordpress, so that you can post to this blog and make comments. As part of the signing-up process you can also get your own free wordpress blog, which you might useful to keep track of your research material, rather than posting random stuff here. It would also be a useful place to write ideas and chunks of text, in a form which allows us to comment on it and make suggestions.
Please register with your napier email address, and a username that will make it easy for us to identify who’s who (like, err, your name). Once you’ve registered, email me and I can add you as a contributing user of this blog.
